Vans is a Californian brand of sports shoes, including skateboard, BMX, freestyle scooter and snowboard, a subsidiary of the American group VF Corporation. Created in 1966 by Paul Van Doren, James Van Doren and three other partners, all passionate about board sports. The first authentic Vans model, known as "Vans # 44" appeared in 1966 in a Californian boutique.
